The Contract
All persons applying for Bush Direct volunteer programs must complete and sign enrollment and indemnity forms. In the case of minors, the legal parents or legal guardian must sign. The person or persons who have signed the forms are hereafter referred to as the clients and/or applicants. The client agrees to be bound by these application conditions. No agent, representative or client of Bush Direct has any right to alter, vary or waive any of these conditions. This contract, by whoever it is made and wherever it is made, is subject to and shall be governed and construed according to South African law.

Payment / Acceptance of Application
Once Bush Direct approves an online application, a provisional booking will be sent to the client via e-mail. The client must then fax signed and completed enrollment/indemnity forms to Bush Direct and pay 50% of the total fee to qualify for our programs (non-refundable, non-transferable, non-changeable). Please note that while provisional bookings are indications of project availability, volunteer placements are only confirmed upon receipt of an enrollment/indemnity form and 50% deposit. Airfare and other travel arrangements should only be arranged after confirmation of a volunteer placement.

The balance of the program price is payable in full one month before date of departure. If the balance is not paid by the due date, Bush Direct reserves the right to disqualify the applicant. If an applicant applies a month or less before the start of the volunteer program, then the full price is payable at time of application.

Cancellation / Change by Client
Any notification of cancellation must be in writing. The date on which the letter is received by Bush Direct or its agents will determine the cancellation charges applicable. In the event of cancellation the following charges apply: more than 30 days before departure 50% of total program
cost retained, less than 30 days before departure 100% of total program
 cost retained.

Unsuitability
During a program should a client, in the sole opinion of Bush Direct or its duly authorized representative, be considered unsuitable for the program, due to being in contravention of any customs or laws of South Africa, or by reason of causing inconvenience or annoyance to other clients, then Bush Direct may disqualify the applicant. In such circumstances transportation to the nearest town will be provided. Bush Direct will not be liable to make any refund to the client, and no other liability by Bush Direct to the client will arise.

Limitation of Liability
Client bookings are accepted on the understanding by the client that certain risks exist as an inherent part of travel in South Africa, and clients undertake the Bush Direct programs and associated expeditions entirely at their own risk. Defamation of Character
Any client found to be defaming the Bush Direct programs or the character of any program personnel will immediately be asked to leave the program without a refund from Bush Direct.

Excursions
Clients participating in excursions out of Bush Direct programs do so at their own risk.

Clients are bound by the aforementioned terms and conditions and enrollment information must be complete and accurate. Any false declaration would render any claim whatsoever void and the client could further be held liable for prosecution by the laws governing South Africa.

Any activities undertaken during Bush Direct programs are at a client's own risk and Bush Direct is indemnified against any claims whatsoever that may arise in connection with any injury, loss or damage during the activities at each destination or transport to and from each destination, in the knowledge that the program leaders will take all reasonable precautions for the safety and welfare of the participants. Costs in respect of any accident or illness which, in the opinion of the authorities, requires medical attention, are the client's liability.
